They are the perfect water glass and would look great on any dining table - and a great conversation starter too.
Mission Glass started as a desire to reduce of the amount of glass bottles that end up in the landfill. They are doing this by upcycling them into glassware. At the same time, using recycled bottles it helps reduce the amount of drinking glasses that is imported to Australia from overseas enhancing circular economy. Many drinking glasses coming from overseas have a higher melting temperature point, making them useless for recycling and they end up in the landfill.
The drinking glasses are made from used wine bottles collected from restaurants or people who saves them. By using local raw materials (the used bottles) they create a locally manufactured product that can be recycled in your normal recycling bin as you normally would with an empty bottle.
