The Omiebox bento lunch box now comes in a new and better version than the original. The new version is called Omiebox V2. As with the original version the new one has a "built in" thermos jar which will keep food warm for up to 6 hours. And at the same time the food in the rest of the sectioned lunch box stays cold.
You do have the option of taking the thermos jar out and use the lunch box as a normal bento lunch box for the days where you don't send warm food.
OmieBox V2 use two types of insulation in order to keep hot and cold food together. This is due to the design of a powerful vacuum insulated thermos. It’s made of two walls of stainless steel with the air sucked out in between the walls so heat can not escape. Due to this it can keep food warm for up to 6 hours, perfect for hot lunch.
Please note if you do not have a fridge you will need an insulated lunch bag if you are packing foods that require to stay cold.
Please note that leakproof for the short and the long rectangular compartments means thicker liquids like yoghurt etc. It will not be leakproof for watery things like salad dressing etc only if it is in the insulated thermos and the lid is screwed on. If the lunch box is used without the thermos in the square compartment will only hold dry food and no wet food.

The OmieBox is designed so it’s easy to use even for our youngest users. One key design feature is the oversized handle which is easy to grab, therefor perfect for young children who are still developing fine motor skills. Lids open and close easily. You will not need to worry about lunches coming home uneaten because your little one could not open the lunch box. Unlike most insulated food jars that are deep and narrow, this one is wide and shallow, so kids can easily scoop food out. For maximum performance, pre-chill or preheat the insulated container before using by filling with cold/hot water. Leave for 5-10 minutes if using boiling water, empty and fill with your hot food and place the lid straight back on.

The Omiebox is not dishwasher safe as the heat drying cycle might warp the lunch box.
